NOMINATION FOR ELECTION NOTICE

Nominations for the offices of President, 1^st Vice President, 2^nd Vice President Secretary/ Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Sergeant-at-Arms, 5 Executive Council Members at Large and 8 Delegates will be accepted from the floor at the membership meeting on

20 March 2024 at 5:00 PM at VFW Post 509, 1 Goodwin St, Tobyhanna Pa 18466

Qualifications for office are:

• Be a member in good standing of this local for 1 year.
• Be a member in good standing for 1 year in an AFGE Local, immediately preceding the closing of the nomination process.
• Not be a member in any labor organization not affiliated with the AFL-CIO.

The term of office is 3 years, ending with the installation of officers following the regularly scheduled elections in 2027. A second for a nomination is not required self-nominations are permissible. Nominations may be made in writing, and must be received by AFGE Local 1647 Election Committee’s post office box in care of (Mr. Joshua Mast P.O. Box “C”, Tobyhanna, Pa 18466) no later than 20 March 2024 at 2:00PM)
