All right everyone little update from today.
Probationary employees: as of COB no update from the agency. They said they have got no additional guidance at this point.
Deferred resignation: we had a ULP meeting this morning at 8 oâclock, which we won by the way, and during that meeting, the deputy commander informed us that they had received guidance and were speaking to their headquarters this afternoon and meet with us before putting out an all users message. Which they did not do. During our meeting in the morning when I asked whether Tobyhanna Army Depot could support what was vaguely offered in the OPM email, the Chief Of Staff replied that they were going to try to determine if they could keep employees that applied for that as long as they could, because they did not have the funding nor the employees to replace anyone that had accepted
What you did last week email: Tobyhanna employees received the email stating that we must start replying today. The agency was supposed to meet with us before they put out the all users message that they did which included the statement that employees would be allowed up to 15 minutes to charge to an overhead number, they were going to supply.
At the operations meeting this afternoon during the round table, Brenda brought up the point that 15 minutes was not acceptable. We had a lot of reasons for this with the number one being computer access to employees working on the floor. When the agency said that they were going to use computers in the in the labs, I brought out the point that signing into a new computer that youâve never logged in before with your CAC card was a process that took much longer than the 15 minutes never mind the time to compose the requested information. I must point out that the performance of our duties in our position description is already covered in our labor management agreement. And we will be filing appropriate grievances within the timeframe allowed. Our guidance is still the same, to question your supervisor on just what substance they would like in the email, be careful that you do not give out any operational security information and follow the instructions from your supervisor. If you have trouble getting on a computer and your supervisor is not helping you or if he is trying to hold you to a 15 minute timeframe to get it done, please let us know up in the office
Possible rally: Senator Jim Haddock had Senator Maureen Madden contact me today. Ms. Madden gave me the contact information for the coolbaugh Township manager. I requested the use of the public park across from the Stroudsburg gate for Friday, March 14 and I am waiting for a reply. I will keep everyone updated on this effort as it develops
In closing, please contact your senators and Congress representatives and tell them who you are and what we are going through and ask for their help.
I will update this as new information is given to us. Thank you and have a good night. Ned George
